I
watched you passing by,
Skating through the hostility
Like a red-hot sleigh would cut through snow
A hazy light seems to surround you
All else is in shadow, beyond the light
Those who enter the light are few
But they are transformed, glorified,
Their grey monotony exchanged
For flamboyant colours.
I wish I could enter your circle of light
But I am always just beyond
Stretching to touch a place
Where your beams will reach.
