I
must wander on the golden sands
Of a silver-shrouded beach.
I must build myself a castle
In the clouds, far out of reach.
I must sit alone and listen
To the whalesong at the dawn.
When this is gone, then can I say
There is now no need to mourn.
For though the sultry charms of youth
Have silently slipped away,
And milky eyes no longer see
The colours of night or day,
When I close my eyes to go to sleep
I'm swept away on the crest of a silver wave.
And
though my body can do no more,
My Memories, I'll save..
