Armies of Nature'

| The
chimes ring, while the panther crouches, Waiting for the time to strike. As the night darkens the desert, the panther lies, On the sand he watches the movement of his enemy, Predicting the path it shall take. The eyes flitter as the prey darts across the dirt, Clouds of earth distinguish its purpose, its intention, The innocent hope still alive, strengthened by every step, Every flex of a muscle. The challenge begins, as the panther starts his run, Counting each moment till the clash erupts, Breaking the peace of the gentle desert. The silence breaks as the battleground explodes. A provoked attack has become something more, Drawing the attention of unwanted intruders; Ones only interested in the aftermath, As the glory has been won, the honour given. |
